To register your Warranty for the goods purchased, on the home page click on the tab at the top "About" and scroll down to the Warranty tab and follow the simple registration instructions.

Can I install it myself, and is it really quick to install?

Yes, the Michelin Tyre Pressure Management System is really simple to install and will take approximately 3 minutes. Just refer to the simple fitting guide below.

Michelin Tyre Pressure Management System Instruction Manual

How long is the warranty?

The system is warranted to be free from manufacturing defects and is guaranteed for a period of twelve months from date of purchase.

Where do i find the Terms & Conditions?

On the home page click on the tab at the top "About" and scroll down the page where you will find the Terms & Conditions.

How are the dust valve-cap pressure sensors locked?

The valve cap sensors are locked using the anti-theft lock nuts, which are screwed onto the tyre valve first, then you hold them in place with the enclosed spanner and screw up the TPMS valves to the lock nut until tight.

Can I use the same system for my trailer or caravan and is it easy to install?

Yes, you can and it is easy to install, just buy the additional Michelin Tyre Pressure Management System sensors and follow the simple fitting guide and your trailer or caravan are ready in minutes.

Is Michelin Tyre Pressure Management System suitable for high speed applications?

Yes, no problem at all, the sensors have been tested for high speed applications also.

Do the external sensors or locking nut corrode ?

The Michelin Tyre Pressure Management System sensors use a thread which is nickel plated.  This will avoid corrossion with valve stems such as aluminium. Regarding the locking nuts,  during winter when the roads are heavily salted, it is advisable to take some precautions by removing the sensors and placing a small amount of silicone grease or WD40 on the locking nut & screw thread of the stem, and periodically checking during this time. Where the wheel will be exposed to extremely salty conditions e.g. boat trailers immersed in salt water, we recommend not to use the locking nut.

I need replacement sensors; can I get replacements?

Yes, no problem just go to the product page and you will see additional sensors listed. Just follow the simple fitting instructions.

What pressure range does the system operate?

The TPMS sensors operate between 1.72-5.93 BAR / 25-86 PSI

How do I know which tyre has the fault, when im alerted by the Michelin Tyre Pressure Management System receiver?

When you park up safely the tyre which has caused the alert will have the TPMS sensor flashing for 2 minutes so you are aware which tyre has the problem.

My wheel position is greater than the 7 metre range you specify in the Instruction Sheet?

The sensors have actually been tested over 50 metres in free air. However, with the sensor within a wheel arch and the receiver mounted low down on the windscreen near the dashboard cluster, there is an increased interference. Seven metres is a conservative distance, but we recommend the following actions if you are concerned with the transmission distance:- (1) Do NOT Remove the receiver adhesive for the test until you are fully confident everything works.(2) Turn on the receiver and place in the intended position, then screw on the sensors to the two furthest tyre valves (without the lock nuts fitted).(3) In order for the unique pairing system to work you will need to go on a five minute journey.(4) At the end of the journey, within 60 seconds of stopping, remove the sensor from the valve but keep the sensor held in the valve location.(5) The sensor should start the LED light flashing within 10 seconds.(6) If this is the case then the receiver should also detect the distressed sensor.(7) If all of the above works correctly then fix both the receiver and the sensors and you are ready to go.(8) If there is a problem with the above process then repeat.(9) If there is still a problem then re-consider the position of the receiver. If you place it centrally on the rear windscreen (in view of the rear view mirror) then this will reduce the distance to the furthest sensors. Another possibility is to attach it higher on the front windscreen (further from the RF noise of the dashboard cluster).(10) If extensive testing proves a problem then please return the receiver (adhesive still intact) and the rest of the kit, including a copy of your receipt and your bank details and we will reimburse you forthwith.

How many sensors can you have fitted for a journey?

You can have up to 12 x sensors fitted for a journey.

When cleaning my wheels can I wash the sensors?

Yes this is not a problem, however please avoid using specific Wheel Cleaning Chemicals which may in some cases attach themselves to the sensor, which may give the effect of a discolouration of the sensor, which can only be removed with rigourous cleaning, so please avoid using these type of chemicals.

Are the sensors wateproof and can they be used on a boat trailer?

The sensors are waterproof and have been tested to IP67 rating which is 1 meter depth, however we don’t recommend that they are left immersed in water permanently as this can cause corrosion over time.

Does the sensor flash constantly when I am alerted about a tyre in distress on my receiver?

No, the sensor is designed to flash, dependant on which alert the receiver has received up to 2 minutes for 5 x stops. If on the journey it is not safe to stop the vehicle, then it is likely the sensor will have stopped flashing in this time, due to the need to preserve the battery life of the sensor. The receiver will continue flash until the problem has been rectified. Always assume that if you have been alerted by the receiver that there is a tyre in distress, this will be the case and even if the sensor is not flashing on inspection we recommend that your tyres should be checked for any faults or possible deflation.

My pressure checker shows my new tyre sensors battery life not being full capacity?

From the point of manufacture, the sensor will show a loss of battery capacity, this is also as a result of the sensitivity of the revolutionary tyre pressure checker. However this should not be of concern as the sensors are still expected to last at least 3 to 4 years. If there is an issue, the warranty is for 12 months, so of course we will exchange them in this period.
